If you’re unsure whether your photo meets our requirements, we recommend revisiting your guided tutorial to review each step.
Here are a few quick tips to make sure your photo meets our standards:
Lighting:
Stand in front of a window with plenty of natural light. Good lighting evenly brightens your face and helps us deliver the best results.
Camera Settings:
Use the outward-facing camera on your phone (not the selfie camera) and ensure your camera is set to the highest resolution available.

Framing:
Frame yourself torso up with your arms visible and at your side.
Too far = pixelated features
Too close = parts of your body get cut off (like shoulders or arms)
Background Contrast:
Avoid backgrounds that blend with your hair color. We need contrast to cleanly separate you from the background.
